Study meets Tuesday evenings at 7:00 p.m. Throughout Lent, we will study
the Gospel of John, Chapters 12-19, covering the last week of Jesus'
life leading up to the cross. In the weeks of Easter 1 and 2, we will

On-Going Service Opportunities |
|
The Altar Guild is looking for men and women to serve
as sacristans. This involves caring for and setting out those items
required by the priest to celebrate the Holy Eucharist.
See Sally Austin, directress,
for qualification requirements.
|
|
The Silver Lion Gift Shop could use more
volunteers to serve as clerks. Principally, this would involve opening
the shop after Sunday service and keeping it open until the last shopper
leaves. Sunday mornings.
See Kathryn
Nelson, manager, for more information.

IN-Reach is an area that needs
development. Folks are needed to simply visit those who are shut-in or
hospitalized. The step beyond this might be the establishment of a team
of Lay Eucharist Visitors. Talk to Fr. Greg if you would like to explore
this ministry.
|
|
Outreach volunteers are needed
in several areas that have long been a part of St. Mark's community
involvement.
Irving Cares needs food and folks to help stock the shelves as food
comes in.
The Interfaith Clinic needs help in
general.
Austin Street Shelter Breakfast team
could use some assistance on the last Saturday morning of each month.
Several projects designed to aid
students at Lee Britain School occur throughout the school year.
Our
outreach at John Haley Elementary School
continues through this school year.
Talk to Bettye Brown if you can
volunteer even a little of your time to any of these ministries.
