Get ready to let your kids shine!

At Rocky Point Lighthouse VBS, kids learn to shine God’s light. This VBS is filled with incredible Bible-learning experiences kids see, hear, and touch. Team-building games, cool Bible songs, and active Bible adventures ae just a few of the activities that help faith flow into real life.

Your kids will also participate in an outreach project, called Projects With a Purpose, that will let the kids in our community shine God’s love to families.

Parents, grandparents, and friends are invited to join us for a Sunday Celebration on July 22nd, a dramatic, high-energy celebration of God’s love you won’t want to miss.

So join us on Saturday, July 21st, beginning at 9:00am and ending at 3:00pm for all the fun. Lunch and snacks will be provided. All kids aged 4-12 are welcome.

Summer Food Drive for Irving Cares

Summer is the busiest time for food banks, and Irving Cares is experiencing a 30% increase in the requests for food assistance. They are seeing an average of over 800 families that need food. With school out, families that depend on meals being provided at school now have hungry kids at home all day, often with little food. So, we at St. Mark’s are responding with our Father’s Day Food Blessing! All proceeds collected between June 17th and July 1st will go to benefit needy families at Irving Cares. We ask that you keep these families in your prayers. Blessings! Wende

Are You Afraid To Fly ?

In Henri Nouwen’s book, Sabbatical Journeys, he writes about some friends who were trapeze artists and called themselves “The Flying Roudellas.” One thing they told Nouwen was that there’s a very special relationship between the flyer and the catcher on the trapeze. As you might imagine, this relationship is important – especially to the flyer. When the flyer is swinging high above the crowd on the trapeze, the moment comes when he must let go. He arcs out into the air and his job is to remain as still as possible waiting for the strong hands of the catcher to pluck him from the air. The trapeze artist told Nouwen, “the flyer must never try to catch the catcher. He must wait in patient and absolute trust. The catcher will catch him, but he must wait.”

Be still before the LORD and wait patiently for him. Psalm 37:7
